Deborah Davidson “Standing See”

NKG is pleased to present the newest installation by Deborah Davidson “Standing See”, an elegant and evocative presentation of the artist’s interior life. Echoing the subtle yet heroic work of the Minimalist sculptor, Anne Truitt, these hybrid painted sculptures reach that unique space where Davidson notes that, “Underlying all of this work is the attempt to resolve the conversation between wanting to reveal all and at the same time the desire to obliterate. “

Ms. Davidson received her M.F.A. from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts/Tufts University. Deborah's work is in many private and public collections, including Yale University, Tufts University, Wellesley College, Boston Public Library, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and the Houghton Library. She is also an independent curator, most recently at the Concord Art Association and was a Northeastern University Humanities Center artist-in-residence in 2011.

Please join us for the opening reception and meet Deborah Davidson in person on Friday May 4, 2012, 5-8pm
